What is the Role of the Summer Camp Food Service Staff at Kingsley Pines?

Our food staff is what helps provide the incredible dining experience at Kingsley Pines. As a member of the Food Service staff, you would be responsible for:

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals for 300+
• Supervising prep assistants
• Monitoring safety and cleanliness
• Accommodating specific diet requirements

This position is a seasonal job that ranges from 40 – 45 hours per week, 5 days a week from the dates of June 10 – August 23, 2024.

Requirements for Food Service Staff

The requirements for someone on the Food Service Staff include:

• Being at least 18 years old
• Ability to prepare food and accommodate dietary restrictions
• Positive attitude
• Willingness to learn.

We are looking for people who are want a positive work environment and who know camp food is more than just chicken nuggets. While general knowledge of cooking different kinds of meals is helpful since a wide variety of foods will be cooked in this position, a willingness to learn can make up for a lack of knowledge. Recent culinary graduates are encouraged to apply.

Most importantly, as a part of this team, you will be interacting with campers routinely. This is why attitude and a positive demeanor are extremely important. Being a good fit for the kitchen staff is just as important, if not more important, as experience.
